Ground Surface and Building Settlement Monitoring using Internet of Things (IoT) Approach

Abstract The ground settlement caused big concern to the engineers and residents as can cause dangers lead building failure if no remedial actions are done. This paper aims monitor related surface behavior by using Internet of Things (IoT) approach. Two phases laboratory works were outlined; Phase 1 – Geotechnical properties sample collected at site 2 Develop a monitoring system Arduino incorporating ultrasonic tilt sensors for checking movement. All data will analyze based on fabricated physical model. Blynk application was used create warning user when there is detected. showed that soil consists coarse fine particles which 64% 36%, respectively, classified low clay (CL). showing reading set model near slope under vibration condition had recorded movement highest percentage 20%, respectively. In conclusion, both have proved ability in settlement.
